Peter H | May 28, 2009Hi. I have been looking at your recorded webinars over the past six months and am seriously thinking of buying your strategy.
I have a couple of questions.
First, I will be trading with a limited account of $5,000.
What market would you recommend I trade? Incedently I am a newbie. Been trading sporadically for about one year with
inconsistant results, thus I feel it is time to align myself with one methodology, learn and just trade that one.
I live in London U.K. therefore I can trade the London and US sessions.
As for trading platforms, I am using metatrader. Is there any beneift to moving over to Tradestation? If so what are they?
Finally I will wish to paper trade UMT to start with, can I do this on Trade Station?
Thank you for taking the time to consider my questions.

Our Reply: With $5K and in the location you indicate some of your choices, assuming you are discussing day trading would be: FTSE (for your local market – you’d need eSignal since Tradestation doesn’t provide that datafeed), Nasdaq e-Mini Futures, 10 Year Treasury Notes, Soybeans. Those are all good possibilities for your account size. In addition, Forex trading assuming you only trade minis with that sized account — and in most cases 1 or 2 at a time to keep the risk in the 2% level. Don’t be tempted by the max leverage allowed at forex brokers you’ll wipe out your account if you use it. Tradestation is a good choice in particular if you want choice between futures and forex. Realize with Metatrader it will be forex only, and there are no tick timeframes on forex which really are beneficial if you are thinking of daytrading. Thanks.
